Our School
Argonaut Elementary School has served the community of Saratoga, California for over 40 years. One tradition that Argonaut has proudly maintained is to produce achieving students who have become successful, contributing adults. We serve 360 students in 17 self-contained TK/K-5 classrooms plus a Resource Specialist Room. Argonaut also houses a Santa Clara County Special Education class, grades 3rd-5th.
A dedicated staff enjoys the challenge of working at a school like Argonaut with its diverse and talented student body, involved community, and commitment to excellence in education. The students are bright, inquisitive, playful and creative.
The volunteer program at Argonaut School is very extensive. Parents work as volunteers in the classroom, office, and library, as well as on school-wide programs. We have many varied programs organized by volunteers: Art Docent Program, Math Olympiad, Variety Show, The Musical, Authors' Expo, Science Fair, Read-In, PTA Reflections, Red Ribbon Week, Fit Kidz Program, Yearbook, Birthday Table, Family Movie Night, Community Service projects, special assemblies, and more! Parents also drive on field trips and present special lessons sharing their background, interest, or career expertise. Our volunteers donate 1000's of hours together in total each school year!
Our vision for Argonaut School is that all students will be challenged to develop their potential and will demonstrate academic, social, and personal growth.
Our mission is to provide an enriched academic program in a positive environment that empowers all students to think critically, to interact cooperatively, to learn to their fullest potential, and to become responsible contributors to society.
